How do you choose a hotel in Las Vegas? Do you need party central. Are you searching for the perfect meals? Are you the type who will double book massages and skin treatments? Is it about the comfort of the bed or the amount coming out of your wallet?
What you need is the Las Vegas hotel guide to help you make a decision.
As you begin to search for hotel rooms in Las Vegas realize that these days hotels are competing for your dollars so be diligent because you will find a good deal. Search for room rates with Kayak.com and then check the hotel promotions page. Once you have that information you will be better able to make a decision on what a good deal looks like in Vegas.
One more thing, if you get back to your room at 8 am and your bed is still made that is called a successful night. Sleeping is overrated in Las Vegas, get out there and stay out as long as you can!

As you look up and down the strip the skyline has been forever transformed by CityCenter and a few days are all that separate you from a room at one of the newest places to be in Las Vegas. Are you looking forward to the dining choices at CityCenter? What about shopping at CityCenter? The plush rooms, the spas, the pools, the...there is so much to look forward to that it is intoxicating.
I'm excited about rooms that will incorporate technology on a scale that has not been experienced in Las Vegas as well as the ability of Las Vegas to embrace sustainable building practices as an example of how to build while maintaining an eye on the environment. But, I am really excited about the new places to have a drink and to indulge in my favorite past time. Eating.
Three-star Michelin Chef Pierre Gagnaire will open his first U.S. restaurant Twist by Pierre Gagnaire at the Mandarin Oriental and you can bet I'll be in line as they unlock the doors. Dare I say a modern French restaurant with views from the 23rd floor of the Las Vegas strip will rise to my list of favorites restaurants in Las Vegas. Well, let's not get crazy, the place is not even open yet, but it will be, soon.
Of course, you cannot forget that "Viva Elvis" will open at ARIA Resort and the new Cirque du Soleil show is a tribute to Elvis Presley and his music.
Prepare yourself as CityCenter starts to creep into your every thought and your need to get to Las Vegas expands into an ever growing craving that must be satisfied.
Plenty of people have ideas oabout development in Las Vegas, what about you, do you have an opinion? What do you think about CityCenter in Las Vegas?

The art of spending an entire day at the sports book is a finely crafted talent. You have to gauge your consumption of alcohol, time your restroom breaks and keep yourself fed. It's not easy so you need some resources to aid in your quest to watch every game and Las Vegas sports books can do that for you.
This time of year all we really need is a place to sit around and watch sports all day long. A few big screens, some good food, a few beers and some friends. Take that simple formula and add Las Vegas excitement. Add in the ability to put a few bucks on the game. Add in a server who smiles as she delivers your beer and snacks. Now toss in a room full of people all looking for the same experience and you have Lagasse's Stadium at Palazzo Las Vegas.
Sports book, sports bar, lounge and restaurant all combined into one central location where the fanatic can truly enjoy the big games. College football, pro football, baseball and hockey all at once!
What are you doing? There is very little reason for you to be watching any game on that tiny 19 inch box sitting in your living room. Put on some pants, check your t-shirt for stains and then get to the Las Vegas strip for a day long journey into watching sports and having fun.
Do you need to know what is on the menu, I almost forgot, Emeril Lagasse will keep the game day celebration going with the New Orleans inspired cuisine that is perfect for all sports fans. Lagasse's Stadium at Palazzo Las Vegas is Heaven for the sports fanatic.

One of the newest entertainers to make his home on the Las Vegas strip is Frank Caliendo and you will be entertained. Frank Caliendo is at the Monte Carlo Las Vegas and his show is essentially a conversation amongst the many voices that he he impeccably impersonates. You'll laugh and be surprised how one guy can do so much with his voice while maintaining a flow and energy to a show that will soon be a must see in Las Vegas.

If you have a need to stroll around a mall but you really want a little less of the Las Vegas casino crowd go south on the Las Vegas strip and check out Town Square Las Vegas. Make an excursion out of it and have a meal at one of the many places to eat at Town Square or let your kids play in the play area. If you see a guy with two kids and a frustrated face that would be me, my wife is most likely in a fitting room comparing at least four blouses that she will claim all make her look fat.
If you are at Town Square without kids don't waste time on a bench go into the Yard House, have a few beers and watch some highlights or you could also catch a movie at Rave Motion Pictures. With diversions like that you might offer to go shopping.
A big fan of Shopping? Here are a few other places you will love:

I have had a love affair with Italian wines for quite sometime, maybe it was my high school English teacher with that long, Italian dark hair or the way she smiled when she talked about growing up on a vineyard in Tuscany. Just thinking about that makes me want to write a run on sentence and have her lecture me about...sorry I digress, Italian wine and food.
I'm back, that feeling is very similar to the feeling of having a long meal at d.vino Italian Food and Wine Bar at the Monte Carlo Las Vegas. Good food, fabulous wine and the effortless ability to stretch a conversation from minutes to hours and to be immersed in a culinary journey as well as feel like a true oenophile. You'll enjoy the comfortable atmosphere at d.vino and the food will delight you with the simple pleasure of an Italian kitchen.
Did I mention they have wine? While the wine list is very good I would suggest the Enomatic. It allows you to sample wine in 1, 2 or 5 oz. servings and is truly the way to turn an afternoon into an evening.

You need to seriously consider staying at the Palazzo Las Vegas. First, you deserve it, you put in the long hours, you deal with the stress of running a household, those dogs that bark at night never allow you to get the decent rest you need. Must I go on, you need a vacation. More importantly, you need a little of the good life. So do it.
This is how it will go, you'll wake up have some coffee and walk down to the Canyon Ranch Spa. Can you say relaxation? Canyon Ranch Spa is not that place where you go for the $15 massage, it's an experience, a transformation really, but why get all fancy with words and emotions, just understand that you'll finally find that happy space. Try Aquavana, an excursion into relaxation by way of water and temperature variations. The Finnish Sauna is good but you need to experience a tropical rain storm or the cool fog in the Experiential Rain environment.
At this point you'll want to walk up to your suite and take a nap but you should indulge in a Cucumber Gimlet and a light lunch at First Food and Bar. As the afternoon develops you can opt for a day of lounging by the Palazzo pool and then gear yourself up for dinner, drinks and dancing at LAVO at the Palazzo Las Vegas.
Understand, this just day one, do I need to mention the 12 other restaurants that are to die for? What about the bars and lounges? The shows? The excitement of the craps tables? It's Vegas people, you need it and the Palazzo has it.

I have a tendency to enjoy a drink or two. I won't lie, the Las Vegas strip is the perfect place for a guy like me. Food, drinks and music, really how much more do we need to be happy? Well, at Cabo Wabo Cantina at the Planet Hollywood you'll get that and a bit more. Sit out on the deck and indulge in exactly what you need while in Las Vegas. As Las Vegas walks by and the skyline transforms itself right before your eyes have a Waborita sing out loud to music that you forgot you knew the words to and get a little of that Cabo Wabo feeling.
Here is the deal, this isn't the the bar in Cabo San Lucas that you might have stopped in. That's a good thing because if you have ever left that place as they close up shop there were few alternatives after the night ended. In Las Vegas the action goes late into the evening and your options for debauchery are limitless.
So order a Waborita, yes, you need the salt on the rim, that is the bell that tells you the party is about to begin. Grab the appetizer sampler, this way you can take your time snacking as you indulge in a few adult beverages to help you ease in to the Cabo Wabo mindset. If you want that Mexico feeling you might have to go with the Fish tacos but I think the rock shrimp tacos do a better job of transporting you to a marina bar in Cabo. You ready for some Tequila?
Get ready.
Scream it loud, "Mas Tequila!". Don't worry you're in Las Vegas, they won't throw you out. They'll get you some tequila.
